10-Cup Chemex Brew Guide

Start with fresh filtered water just off boil


Pour a generous amount of water through your paper filter (be sure the three (3) layer side of the filter is on the spout side) to rinse dust and preheat your Chemex, then dump the water.


Grind 70g of fresh roasted coffee on a medium-coarse setting and add it to your filter


Pour 140g of water over the coffee and start a timer


When you timer reads 0:40, pour 400g of water directly in the center of the coffee bed

When your timer reads 2:00, pour another 400g of water


Use a spoon to gently stir the coffee three times, then allow the coffee to draw down
When the flow out of the filter breaks into drips, you're ready to serve your coffee
